Your Makeup Can Determine the Appearance of Your Teeth
Posted on 2/6/2023 by Dr. VanBrunt
Many people use makeup to improve their appearance. Foundation can cover up blemishes. Mascara can accentuate your eyes. Eye shadow and blush go a long way to compliment your eye color and make you look more attractive. Choosing makeup that complements your facial features and skin color is important for your overall look. However, did you know that makeup can determine the appearance of your teeth?
Choose Makeup Colors Wisely
When it comes to teeth, the most attractive color has always been white. Someone with pearly white teeth and a confident smile appears youthful and happy. Similarly, someone with appropriate makeup can make an excellent first impression. These two things, makeup and your teeth can work together to bring out the best version of you.
In our experience, we have found that using orange tinted makeup makes your teeth appear yellow. If you want to avoid the appearance of yellow tinted teeth, which makes you look older, we advise you to choose other colors of makeup. Work with a local makeup professional to determine the best complimentary makeup colors for your skin color as well as your wardrobe. Do not forget to avoid makeup with an orange tint.
Make Your Appointment
While the appearance of your teeth is important, we want to make sure you have the best functional smile as well. It is important to have a good oral hygiene routine. Brush and floss your teeth daily. Also, prioritize your dental exams. Ideally, we would like to see you twice a year for your dental exam. It is important to come in as tooth decay can happen without you noticing anything. The beginning stages of tooth decay are not easy to recognize. By keeping your appointments and maintaining good oral health, you are on track for a healthy smile.
