Dr. Corbyn VanBrunt grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Jenks High School in 1988. After obtaining his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Texas, he and his wife lived and worked in Austin for 3 years before moving to Oklahoma City for dental school in 1995.
Upon graduation from The University of Oklahoma Dental School in 1999, Dr. VanBrunt worked in a busy dental practice in Bethany for about a year before opening his own practice in Tulsa in 2000. Since then, Dr. VanBrunt and his wife have raised 3 kids in the Jenks Public School System. Dr. VanBrunt has performed many school presentations on toothbrushing and healthy eating habits for his kids' classes.
Dr. VanBrunt has been involved with programs like "Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing" which is a public awareness and action campaign that helps parents recognize their power to boost their children's early brain and vocabulary development through simple, everyday actions. Two locations of this great program are lead by Dr. VanBrunt's church, The Park Church of Christ.
For the last 21 years, Smiles of Tulsa has used local patient referrals to build a successful patient-centered dental practice in the Kelly Building near St. Francis Hospital at 65th and Yale. As a Tulsa native, Dr. VanBrunt has an in-depth understanding of the dental needs of local residents, focusing on providing exceptional care while developing lifelong relationships with patients.
Coupling his dental expertise and his mechanical engineering skills into a custom treatment plan has allowed him to help many patients who have been stranded by other offices. One of Dr. VanBrunt's favorite things is getting the privilege to have many of his former teachers at Jenks as his current patients. Taking care of those who took care of him is a privilege that also keeps Dr. VanBrunt an active supporter of Jenks High School and other area schools.

In addition to his pursuits of dentistry, Dr. VanBrunt serves as a Youth Group Deacon in his church. He has also coached his children's soccer and basketball teams; all while trying to stay “cool” and not embarrassing his daughters with his antics and out-of-style wardrobe.
With kids in college, you have a good chance of seeing Dr. VanBrunt searching through the shelves at Lowe's in Tulsa Hills, trying to find supplies for his current project at home or church. From implants for teeth to fence posts for the yard, he can restore just about anything!
